PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: SIN IS NOT IN. (Forget what society says. People and policies may change, but God's word remains constant).

What is going on with the world? Evil and wickedness have reached new levels and dimensions. We are quick to open our mouths and curse, and the next breath we are "praising God" all at the same time. Who are we? What do we even want? Do we know? We appear so reserved and proper but our minds are clouded with darkness. The world has perverted EVEN the church when we should influence the world. Stepping outside your home you cannot tell who the unbeliever is and who the Christian is. Lord knows what would happen if God was living among us. Easter passes and we forget the tears we shed while we watched The Passion Of The Christ. I claim to be sick and tired of so many things in my life but I find myself accommodating them. No one knows the time nor hour God will return but with the events going on I dare to say we do not have that much time left. We have to hate sin FORREAL! Like not just lip service but actual hate and intolerance. How is it okay for Christians to do the same things as unbelievers? I will use myself as an example. I just wrapped up my classes in grad school and as a celebration my classmates have invited me to go on a "pub-crawl" (going from one pub to the next and getting drunk all in the name of "fun"). If I had a weak conscience BEST believe I would take up the offer in a heartbeat and go along. Then I remember I am not one of them. I am supposed to be the light that shines in the darkness, I should not contribute to the blindness there is.

Colossians 3:5-6: "So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.  Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming."

Galatians 5:19-21: "When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures,  idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division,  envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God."

Who told us it's okay to slip up now and then? Yes! we are not perfect but ..."Should we continue to sin so that grace may abound?" Have you realized that every time you sin you grieve God? I fall now and then but I do not let my fall have me. I reclaim my life and put the devil in his place. When was the last time you cracked open your bible? When last did you sit in silence and allow the presence of God to move over you? When last did you act like Christ? We make up so many excuses to why we can't go to church or do the right things, but without pause we engage in situations we have no business engaging in. With our lips we talk about how we love God and how He is our God, but our lives tell THE REAL story. If God could come and spend the night in your home, will what He sees ignite happiness or grieve Him? Let's not forget that he is Omnipresent and Omniscient (He is everywhere and He knows ALL) But we tend to forget since we cannot see Him with our eyes. We are not of this world. Therefore we should not act like the world.

Enough is enough yo! We have to put our lives where our mouth is. "Only God can judge me" is a major pet-peeve I have. I will prefer for man to judge me because I will fix up (If I am smart) than allowing God judge me on Judgement day when I know I will either be in Heaven or Hell at the end of the judgement. While we have time, let's get our acts together. FIND AN ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER. Let someone you trust be able to check you when you fall. We must put an end to sin. We must start to begin to live for God. PLEASE!!! The thought of hell is mighty scary. It is real and it exists. Any relationship that does not glorify God put an end to it. Any activities that distract you from God cut them out. You may think you can live behind your closed doors where no one is watching but GOD SEES. Control your thoughts. Control your language. LADIES: I know summer is fast approaching, but PLEASE control your "dressing". Do not become a nudist all in the name of "heat". All those breast and thigh pictures must end. You are worth more and not Tom, not Rick and definitely not Harry should be able to see all the beauty you are. Keep yourself covered for him who God will send when He knows you are ready. Modest is hottest. Also, Send that boy who has no business in your pants an eviction letter. His time is up. If you are not married; I do not care if you are engaged, you have NO business and NO justification and NO right from Jesus to engage in any acts that are sexual in nature. Feel free to interprete as you like but you know what I mean. Just stop!!! (I just had to get that out.)

Proverbs 28:13: "People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy."

Luke 17:3-4: "So watch yourselves! “If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.”

Let's do better. To get more out of life you must be willing to take on challenges you have not yet attempted. Let's love this God with our lives. So what if you slipped last night? God is not interested in counting your wrongs. He is waiting with open arms to accept you as long as you're ready to repent with an honest heart. He is too forgiving and too loving. Man will fail you, and man will judge you but God is TOO busy loving up on you. Run to this God who is the most powerful. Tell sin BYE! I'm done with you. You don't rule me no more.

4 Ways to Receive Jesus in Your Life.

1) Admit that you are a sinner and in need of God (Romans 6:23)
2) Abandon your old life and the belief that you are your source (Acts 16:31)
3) Accept Jesus' payment for your sins on the cross (John 3:16)
4) Acknowledge (and honestly trust) Jesus as your Lord, Source and Savior and rely solely on Him         (Acts 4:12)

I believe in you. We can do this. We are on a mission. We must operate on an extraordinary level.
Hold my hands, and I'll try to hold yours for as long as you let me. I love you. I mean well. I am concerned about your future and where you spend eternity. You Only Live Once: don't spend your one chance acting something stupid.
Jesus is EVERYthing. Act like you know!

Remember: You are beauty-full. Accept nothing else.

Favor O.
